ACA Management have today undergone training in productivity and competitiveness, with the aim of enhancing their overall productivity. The training was conducted by the National Productivity and Competitiveness Centre (NPCC) at a hotel in Machakos Town.
During the training program's opening session, Dr. Robi Mbugua Njoroge, the Executive Director of the Anti-Counterfeit Authority, emphasized the training's objective, which was to improve productivity not only for the authority as a whole but also for individual employees. The ultimate goal was to help them meet the Authority's targets and objectives.
The NPCC program involve training of productivity champions within organizations. These champions would be responsible for developing productivity metrics based on their respective organization's operational areas. The data collected would then be analyzed to create an organizational productivity index. This index would serve as the foundation for designing a productivity improvement strategy tailored to each organization.
These training programs were part of the government's broader public sector reforms, as outlined in Sessional Paper No. 3 of 2013 on the National Productivity Policy. The reforms sought to enhance operational efficiency, labor efficiency, and customer satisfaction within government and state agencies.
