Internship Database 2017/2018 Financial Year

The Anti-Counterfeit Agency (ACA) in support of the Government’s Youth Initiative to develop a pool of young talent for the Kenyan Labour Market, has put in place a three (3) months Internship program for unemployed Kenyan graduate holders of degree and diploma certificates. The Agency is in the process of establishing a database of persons interested in the program, for consideration if and when an opportunity arises. The database will be valid for a period of one year and maybe reviewed on need basis.

The program aims at providing the youth an opportunity for on-the job experience to build upon skills learned at school as well as for their professional development in order to enhance their employability. This is open in the following functions of the Agency:

  1. Enforcement
  2. Legal Services
  3. Education and Awareness
  4. Research
  5. Planning and Quality Assurance
  6. Finance / Accounts
  7. Internal Audit
  8. Human Resource & Administration
  9. Records Management
  10. Procurement
  11. ICT
  12. Public Communication

NB:

1 & 2 above apply for HQ (Nairobi) and Regional offices (Mombasa, Kisumu & Eldoret); please indicate the preferred region in your request.

Qualifications and Basic Requirements

A Diploma or a First degree from a recognized Institution in the following disciplines: Finance/Accounting, Economics, Procurement Studies, Human Resource Management, Marketing, Communication, ICT, Library & Information Sciences, Law, Criminology and Security Studies, Business Administration, Business Management and any other relevant fields.

Eligibility

This program will be open to:

  • Unemployed Kenyan graduates from training institutions who have completed their degree courses and have not been exposed to work experience related to their area of study. The internship shall be undertaken only once after graduating from a course
  • Graduates of degree and diploma programmes for whom internship is a requirement for registration by their respective professional bodies.
  • Kenyan youths aged 34 years or below

Duration

The internship period shall be 3 months non - renewable 

Personal Attributes

  1. Must be a person of Integrity (Current Certificate of good conduct required)
  2. Must be Computer Literate
  3. Strong Communication (written and oral) skills

Please Note:

  • The Agency does not offer employment after completion of the Internship program
  • Gender, Ethnicity, Disability and Regional balance considerations will be applied in the selection process
  • If considered for the program, interns will be required to arrange for their own indemnity.
  • This is a call for creating an internship database and successful candidates will only be considered if and when an opportunity is available.
